You should have:
- Advanced experience writing PHP and working with MySQL
- Advanced experience writing JavaScript (and Ajax) and leveraging jQuery
- Passion for clean, well-documented, maintainable code
- Fan of REST architecture and full HTTP vocabulary, using and implementing web services
- Knowledge of tuning Apache server configuration settings and experience with best practices for high-performance websites
- Command line and shell scripting
- Advanced knowledge of Subversion
- Understanding of MVC architecture
- Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development
- The ability to self-motivate and self-manage
Bonus points for experience in:
- Linux system administration
- Up-to-date knowledge of HTML5, including browser support
- Git and GitHub
- Drupal and/or ExpressionEngine development
- Server-side caching techniques
- Ruby on Rails and/or Django
- CSS techniques for layout and implementing design effects
