We’re seeking a professional Human Resources Manager with the experience to help govern our current organization and guide it into the future. We currently have approximately 40 employees, most of who work remotely from a wide variety of locations around the world. Sales projections indicate that we will need to double our workforce by the end of 2011 to sustain growth and meet production capacities. In addition to the standard duties of the position, we need you to help us with the following:
- Work at a strategic level to identify and manage business and human capital issues
- Provide leadership and consultation to managers in areas of organizational effectiveness, development and design, change management, team development and communication strategies. Anticipate and address organisational issues/challenges.
- Consult with manager on group dynamics and team effectiveness issues and solutions.
- Partner with management to identify high potential employees and to create development programs.
- Assist with developing, coordinating and recommending changes for the improvement of work flow.
- Develop methods and procedures for compiling and analyzing data for reports and special projects. Prepare ad hoc and maintain special internal reports as requested.
- Search for new talent, negotiate employment variables and hire personnel.
- Explore existing markets and investigate emerging venues for the best and the brightest talent available.
- Evaluate job performances.
- Render conclusive employee cost/benefit analysis by compiling and conducting job evaluations.
- Analyze and verify time sheets.
- Assist in job costing, register and monitor employee attendance, sick days, vacations and other absences.
- Track and maintain manpower availability.
- Maximize employee capacities by making sure each employee is assigned an appropriate amount of work.
- Update and maintain employee directory.
- Maintain employee files, company directory and contact lists.
- Write / edit employee handbook.
- Compile and expand current library of company policies and procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the same or similar position.
- Ability to research and analyse various data sets.
- Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgement that is consistent with company culture as well as standards, practices, policies, procedures, or government law.
- Proven ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.
- Exemplary written and oral communication skills.
- Methodically organized, self-motivated and goal-oriented.
- Flexible availability, good attitude and a sociable demeanor.
- A passion for donuts, strong coffee and the occasional cold beer.
